Since 2020, Sharat has curated the Quarantine Film Society - a collection of filmmakers who gather on a near-weekly basis to discuss a selected film. Based in Los Angeles, the group meets virtually with members across the country. Although not film scholars in the traditional academic sense, the members approach their critiques through personal lived experience and as artists working in the field. Sharat writes a mini essay as an invitation to the week's selection, then contributes a post-discussion analysis of the film. It’s the group's tiny contribution to the ever-evolving dialogue between artist and public, filmmaker and audience.

The Quarantine Film Society's website contains Sharat's essays. Visit: www.quarantinefilmsociety.com.
